Christine is a Researcher at Wellesley Institute. She is supporting the work of the Social Determinants of Health Working Group under the Mental Health and Addictions Leadership Advisory Council. Her work focuses on developing a policy tool to assist policy makers to identify policies, programs and investments that improve the well-being of Ontarians.
Before joining Wellesley Institute, Christine worked as a human rights policy researcher in Hong Kong. Her major role was to assess and evaluate government policies, procedures, and practices under the human rights legislation framework and provide evidence-based policy solutions. She has previous experience in NGOs on youth development and affordable housing. She has worked in Hong Kong, the mainland China, US, and the UK.
Christine is passionate about building an inclusive and healthy GTA by reducing health inequities and creating the social conditions that strengthen Torontonians’ ability to thrive. Her research interests include mental health, equity and social justice, discrimination, and minority rights. She holds a master’s in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford.
