As the Director of Fellowships and Integration, part of Emma’s role is to develop and oversee the Wellesley Junior Fellowship program which began its inaugural year in September 2015. The other part of her role is to develop a transdisciplinary integration strategy for the Wellesley Institute. The strategy will work towards developing pragmatic tools for unifying policy, research and knowledge translation. The aim of transdisciplinary integration is to enhance Wellesley Institute’s potential for collaboration and innovation in solving complex social problems. Emma possesses a doctorate degree in Neuroscience from Queen’s University. She is interested in developing multilevel and transdisciplinary models of social interaction, to help inform social policy work. Emma is actively involved in the Toronto dance community and is the Program Evaluator for Blueprint Pathways, a program for prison youth which uses Hip Hop arts combined with mental health education to break the cycle of gang involvement.
