Partnership Project: Ontario’s review of non-profit sector moves into high gear

The Partnership Project, the Ontario government’s consultation with non-profit sector to strengthen the relationship between non-profits and the government, kicks into high gear in the coming days. The Wellesley Institute has done extensive research and policy work with our non-profitĀ  partners over the past decade, and we are part of an advisory committee to the co-chairs of Ontario’s Partnership Project. The Ontario Non-Profit Network is the umbrella organization for the wide array of third sector groups throughout the province. There are more than 45,000 non-profit organizations in Ontario that employ more than one million people – 15% of the province’s workforce. Non-profits contribute $50 billion in combined revenues to the province economy, more than the auto and construction sectors combined.
