School4Civics is a program aimed at training and mentoring promising leaders from diverse communities to organize political campaigns or run for office.  This program is part of the Diverse City project sponsored by the Maytree Foundation and the Toronto City Summit Alliance.

The program is delivered through prerecorded webinars, face to face workshops and networking opportunities.  Participants will learn the steps to build a campaign, how key messages are created, fundraising, how to identify support and get out the vote.

The ideal program participants  “are committed to social justice, are from racial and ethnic groups underrepresented in civic leadership and are interested in running as a candidate or becoming a campaign manager.” School4Civics website
