The WI is pleased to add a timely and pivotal release to the growing body of knowledge in community-based research (CBR):
New Directions in Community-Based Research.
CBR has evolved into a 'research strategy of choice' for the community sector and has increasingly established itself as a credible research approach in the academic sector. With the increasing use and growing currency of CBR, Dr. Brenda Roche belives there is a need to revisit what has become the conventions of CBR, to consider how these are enacted in practice, and to embark on a more critical examination and attentiveness to the practices that shape CBR. The time is ripe for a further significant evolutionin CBR, and the WI believes New Directions in Community-Based Research will provide the initiative to chart these changes at the both community and academic levels.
