The POWER (Project for an Ontario Women’s Health Evidence-Based Report) study has been an amazing source of data and evidence on population health, the persistent and damaging nature of health inequities and their underlying social determinants of health.  But it has also played a vital role in identifying key directions and opportunities for innovation and improvement.  The concluding chapter has now been released.

Lead investigator Dr Arlene Bierman will be discussing the concluding chapter of POWER at a Wellesley Health Equity Roundtable.  She will set out key levers for reform; showing how addressing enhanced primary care, chronic disease prevention and management, patient-centred care and improved coordination, enhanced performance measurement and management, and upstream social determinants of health can drive action on health equity.

Join Dr Bierman and other health leaders and practitioners in conversation on moving forward:
July 17 from 2-4 at Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute 209 Victoria St.
