SUMMARY:Making The Connections: Our City, Our Society, Our Health
DESCRIPTION:Join us on May 7th\, as we launch our Making The Connections exhibit at the Urban Space Gallery. We are very excited to unveil our new interactive pieces and engage new visitors with the exhibit. Making The Connections is an exhibit that walks Torontonians through some of the social factors that have a significant impact on our health: income\, housing\, education\, food security\, neighbourhood\, sense of community\, and access to health care. It introduces systems thinking and encourages people to think about the larger\, interconnect society we are a part of and how these interconnections impact our health. Come at 6:00 p.m. for refreshments and at 7:00 p.m. we'll have an introduction of the making of the exhibit by Jo Snyder\, and a short talk on systems thinking by Aziza Mahamoud. Along with our panels on the social determinants of health will be a complimentary exhibit by OCAD students. The Art and Urban Health banners will showcase printed textiles by second year OCAD University students in response to the Making The Connections exhibit. Please join us for the opening on May 7th at 7:00 p.m.
