The tremendous legacy of Ron Robertson will live on through a new fund for residents of Wellesley Central Residence Inc. The Ron Robertson Enhancement Fund will provide small grants to low-income residents of the supportive housing initiative on Sherbourne Street – on the lands of the former Wellesley Central Hospital. Ron was long associated with the Wellesley Institute, first as legal counsel and then as a Director and Vice-Chair of the Board. One of the brightest legal minds in Canada, Ron was past Chair of Fasken Martineau.

Sheila Robertson, wife of the late Ron Robertson, joins with Wellesley Central Residence Board members for the dedication of a plaque to honour the memory of a great community leader.
While his sharp mind and brilliant skills in grasping complex issues was a major asset as the Wellesley Institute redeveloped the old Wellesley Hospital lands, his commitment to people and community also shone through. Ron was intimately engaged in much of the important and practical detail in developing the innovative Wellesley Central Residence – which provides a great home for people living with HIV/AIDS and the frail elderly.
His contribution to building a healthier and more equitable Toronto is recognized in the Ron Robertson Enhancement Fund, which is administered by Fife House.
