Victoria and Kelowna: Presentations from west coast housing / homelessness tour

The Wellesley Institute’s Michael Shapcott was invited to Victoria and Kelowna as part of a west cost housing / homelessness tour. He gave presentations on a range of issues, including housing, homelessness, complex social issues and dynamic community solutions to the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness, Mayors and Municipal Representatives from the Victoria CRD, at a community forum in Victoria, at a research symposium at University of Victoria and in a day-long meeting at University of British Columbia – Okanagan in Kelowna. Michael was also given an early-morning escorted tour of Victoria’s homeless shelters and supportive housing projects by Mayor Dean Fortin.
