Researchers set out to create an online library of Canadian studies related to homelessness. The goal of the project was to make information more accessible and enable better service provision, advocacy work, and informed policy. When reviewing the literature and compiling bibliographic entries, researchers noted several things about the state of Canadian homelessness research. They found that community-based research and government reports had very limited distribution. They also identified the need for more studies on pathways off the streets, homeless interaction with police, and housing for people living with mental illness.
