Adwoa Afful was born and raised in Toronto. She earned her BA from McGill University and recently completed the MSc Pl program in urban planning at the Department of Urban Planning and Geography at the University of Toronto. She is especially interested in examining the growing role that technology is playing in urban planning and community building and its implications for Black communities, women, and gender non-binary people across the GTA. She is looking forward to exploring these subjects and others through a health equity lens as a Junior Fellow at the Wellesley Institute.
