Alissa holds a Master of Public Health in Social and Behavioural Health Sciences from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at University of Toronto. Prior to joining Wellesley Institute, her work has spanned policy advocacy, research support, and knowledge translation roles in both academic and non-profit settings, including Heart and Stroke Foundation, Stop Marketing to Kids Coalition, and the PROOF food insecurity research program at University of Toronto. She is currently Director of Research for the Young Canadians Roundtable on Health, an organization mobilizing youth-led initiatives on child and adolescent health in Canada. Alissa is dedicated to reducing health inequities in GTA communities and beyond, with a special interest in early childhood development and research communication.
