Nina Acco Weston is an Associate Director at the Wellesley Institute. She has dedicated over 20 years to fostering mental health and well-being through public policy, system planning and community development.
Prior to joining Wellesley Institute, Nina held management and director roles at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and the Canadian Mental Health Association Ontario. During her tenure with these organizations, Nina led multi-sectoral initiatives, advanced community and system change and advised all levels of government on social policy including mental health, health care reform, income security reform, housing and homelessness, as well as equity and population health approaches.
Nina holds a Masters of Health Science in Health Promotion, Public Health Science from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Passionate about making the lives of children, youth and families better, Nina is a dedicated volunteer and served as Vice President on the Peel CAS Board of Directors.
