Rishika holds a Master of Public Policy from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Her policy interests lie in the areas of health and social policy, including child care, education, immigration, and inequality.
Prior to joining Wellesley Institute, she completed a fellowship at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, and worked as a research assistant at the University of Toronto’s Centre for Global Social Policy where she researched how different regions have responded to the growing demands for care work and its implications on gender inequality, racialization, the labour market, and population health. Through her work, she hopes to explore how public policy can confront growing inequities by considering the role of social determinants of health on the differential experiences of vulnerable populations.
