Suzanne is the Project Administrator at the Wellesley Institute. She comes to the Wellesley from CAMH, where she was administrative assistant to the Medical Director of the Underserved Populations Program and the Chief of Geriatrics. She graduated with an Honours BA in Equity Studies and Women’s Studies from the University of Toronto and completed part of this degree during an exchange program at the University of Oxford, UK. Suzanne is also a certified ESL teacher and spent two years in Rome, Italy teaching English as a second language to children, youth and adults. While in Rome, she volunteered for the United Nations World Food Programme and other local non-profit organizations. She has also spent time in rural Albania working with children in marginalized communities. Suzanne has a special interest in how the social determinants of health impact maternal mental health. She is also interested in identifying gaps in health service delivery for maternal mental health concerning miscarriage, stillbirth and infant death, and promoting a continuum of care for the mother before, during and after delivery, and for subsequent pregnancies after a loss.
