Partnering to Reduce Local Health Disparities: Presentation

On September 10, 2015, the Toronto Central LHIN hosted a Health Equity Symposium with over 200 representatives of organizations involved in advancing health equity, from within and outside the health care system. The symposium included talks from experts and practitioners, along with discussions to inform the development of the LHIN’s new Health Equity Roadmap. The Roadmap  will outline the steps the LHIN will take, together with it’s health and non-health sector partners, to reduce local health disparities over the next three years.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Land

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the Wellesley Institute operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
