Mental Health and Addictions

• There is a need to maximize the efficient use of psychiatry services to ensure equitable access across the region
• Need equitable access to safe, respectful and effective mental health services (from the MOHLTC)

Focus on French language and Aboriginal populations

The LHIN’s local priorities “recognize and support equity” with a focus on French language and Aboriginal populations. There are 6 key local priorities for development:

5. Culturally and linguistically sensitive health care services
