Dr. Andrew Terence Lam is a physician who practices family and emergency medicine in rural and northern communities across Canada, with a focus on providing equitable, culturally responsive care. He is completing additional specialty training in public health and preventive medicine, and has worked with multiple public health agencies at both local and provincial levels, gaining experience in health promotion and protection, systems leadership, and health policy.
He has held national leadership roles, including Chair of the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s Section of Residents and Board Director with Resident Doctors of Canada. Prior to his medical career, he worked as an epidemiologist with the Region of Peel. His professional interests include health equity, health systems innovation, maternal and child health, and injury prevention.
