Joseph (Joe) Worndl

Joseph (Joe) Worndl is a Toronto-based corporate lawyer who recently joined the founding team of a new private equity organization. After growing up in Toronto, Joe spent several years of his adult life in the U.K. There he studied at Oxford and Cambridge and worked at Allen & Overy and Davis Polk in London. Commitment to positive social impact has underpinned Joe’s career. During the formative years of his legal career, he had an opportunity to provide pro bono support to major NGOs, including the Malala Fund and the Brazzaville Foundation. Highlights included his work on the Lomé Initiative (combatting the trafficking of substandard and falsified medicines in sub-Saharan Africa) and South Sudan’s constitution-making process. Joe is passionate about health equity and eager to apply learnings from his corporate and pro bono work to his role on Wellesley Institute’s board.
