Karen Soldatić

Karen Soldatić is an internationally recognized scholar whose work focuses on disability, marginality and global inequality. Drawing on a broad interdisciplinary lens, her research explores how social, cultural and political forces shape health and community well-being. Karen has deep experience working alongside marginalized communities facing systemic health and social disparities. Her unique empirical research has helped bridge structural divides, improving equitable access to disability, health and social services in Australia, South Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Karen’s work has significantly informed global debates in disability policy, advocacy and justice, contributing to research and practice across diverse contexts.
