Wellesley Institute works with the third sector – individuals, groups, and organizations – to foster new ideas and relationships that strive to improve social, cultural, economic and environmental challenges for the benefit of people and communities. We can develop a thriving social sector of the economy, based on applying innovative business strategies to generate social value, and thereby create a society that is more sustainable, abundant, and inclusive. An effective and innovative community sector can help to shape opportunities for good health and can, in particular, play a role in addressing health disparities experienced by vulnerable populations.
