Equity is being emphasized in many Community Health Days organized across the province by Community Health Centres and other local partners. I spoke at the Kitchener day whose focus was on mobilizing for health equity for immigrant and refugees. I set out an overview of how to build health equity strategy, priorities and tools into action. There was enormous energy in the small group discussions and it was clear that a great deal of innovation was going on across the community. It was also a chance to flesh out how equity strategies can be adapted and customized for the dynamics of medium sized cities. There was a report of the day and my talk in the local media.
