Translating Good Research Into Policy Impact

Despite all the talk about “evidence-based policy”, the sad truth is that even the best research doesn’t sell itself. Solid research and effective policy analysis is the foundation for policy impact, but effective action also requires a sound knowledge of the policy landscape. Here are my slides for a presentation to the North American HIV AIDS Housing and Health Research Summit.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Land

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the Wellesley Institute operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
