Dr. Kwame McKenzie Receives Honorary Diploma from GBC

Wellesley Institute is proud to announce our CEO Dr. Kwame McKenzie has received an honorary diploma of General Arts & Sciences from the Centre for Preparatory and Liberal Studies from George Brown College.

As CEO of the Wellesley Institute, an organization that works in policy and research to create a healthier and more equitable environment across the Greater Toronto Area, McKenzie has focused on promoting and improving mental health and wellness and on resiliency and adaptability.

McKenzie has been connected to George Brown since 2009.  He’s a frequent and highly appreciated guest speaker at annual college conferences and in the classroom.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Land

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the Wellesley Institute operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
