Researchers held focus groups with Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) youth aged 16 – 25 years over a 4 month period to learn about the issues facing LGBT youth in Toronto. The lack of sexual inclusion and recognition of sexual diversity in schools was a central focus. Researchers are organizing a national youth conference focusing on sexual minority youths and what can be done to make schools more sexually inclusive. The conference will also allow researchers to gain national data and move towards to gain national data and to identify schools for future case studies.
